WHAT BRAKES to get ???

Guys i have a dilemma. I have 13k on the car and the brakes are sqeaking like crazy. I got a notice in the mail from INFINITI stating that they will cover the cost to replace the brakes, so now i want to get something worth while but not sure what

I'm want first to get better pads that DO NOT DUST as much as stock do. As well as get cross drilled or slotted or both rotors on front and rear. Also i want to get better brake fluid like Motul and may be stainless steel lines

Anyone have any suggestions what pads are good and are made for our cars.
i have 2003 5AT NON brembo

thanks

Re: WHAT BRAKES to get ???

I know that Hawk Brake pads are very good, i replaced them on my BMW and there is very little dust and the pads grip well, i also replaced the rottors on that car with brembo cross drilled, i like them, i know that they offer the pads for the G35 too so i would go with those

Re: WHAT BRAKES to get ???

i dunno about you... but the dusting is driving me NUTS, plus the brakes are not the best i've driven on. You should test some other cars out there. dont get me wrong for an AVG driver they are ok but i go to track events so i need better.... PLUS better never hurt anyone.

Re: WHAT BRAKES to get ???

I installed the Hawk pads two weeks after I had the car. I had never seen so much dust!!!..My previous 328I had dust too but not this bad! I ordered the pads from Tirerack and the installation was probably the easiest I have done, very straight forward.

By how much do you think the Hawk pads reduced your dust?

Infiniti will replace the brakes if required under warranty. But they won't reimburse your cost for changing to aftermarket components.

Re: WHAT BRAKES to get ???

I would say easily 90% reduction in dust.

Yeah that damn dust is crappy....and the AT brakes seem like theyd overheat on a track...after a little hauling and stopping....that stuff will smoke a little...

Re: WHAT BRAKES to get ???

i'm using 'satisfied' ceramic pads from tirerack.com. 95-98% dust reduced.my wheels are chrome so that helps.as far as stopping power, not much defferent than the stock.i would say they're the same.
