Need Help with Cams

I decided to build my head while everything was apart now. If I upgrade to GTM turbo cams do I need to do a five angle valve job, or can I just change cams, valves (oe size) and springs? The heads will be cleaned before everything goes back in.

Your best bet is to talk to GTM and see if they feel it is necessary or beneficial to get the five angle when using their cams.

Our heads flow pretty nice.
Doing a angle valve job will increase air flow by 5%.

You decide if the cost is worth that 5%.

I considered new valves or 5 angle cut - but after discussing it with Technosquare, determined it wasnt worth the time and expense.

If you were doing a complete rebuild, you might as well... but just for cams alone probably not worth it.

I'm not familiar with GTMs cam profile - if it's aggressive you should probably get upgraded springs - or if you intend to bump the rev limiter to take advantage of high rmp breathing, stiffer springs are a good idea. I had stronger rod bolts & oil pump installed too (since I have DE)
