If you're talking about the pulley that's connected to the fan, it's to turn the fan. The fan on the early G is mechanical not electronic.

Whatever happened, your fan hit SOMETHING. No doubt about it.

I tried to replace the belts and I heard some noise so I adjusted and tighten the belts more then the noise go away. When I rev up the engine to 5000rpm not on driving just testing, the middle pulley that hold the fan blown away and hit the fan cover and the front end side and screwd up the whole fan. Is that pulley is the water pump? I'm string to research anywhere couldn't find anything

the pulley attached to the fan IS the fan pulley. A belt touches that fan and the pulley is what actually spins the fan...

You need that pulley there...even if you remove the fan and do the E fan conversion.

The water pump is driven by the timing chain. The mechanical fan assembly has no internal connection to the motor.

Definitely get the shop manual so you understand how to correctly tension the belt.

you have a problem that I see could be a big problem though. That fan clutch is held onto the pulley b 4 bolts.

The bolt that holds that pulley on is broken...which could be a serious issue.

Not sure how that is attached...whether or not you have to take apart the engine.

Anyone have the manual or diagram how our engine design? For what I can see is that just need to replace that whole pulley part since it's holding by 4 bolts I'm guessing the pulley attached to it. I didn't see any oil leak or anything from the engine. I guess I'm just gonna have to call dealership to tow my car and have them fix

Definitely DO NOT drive the car this way. If it's warm in your area the car will most likely overheat when sitting at a stop.

What ***** is saying is that you probably snapped off the bolts inside the block.
