Nismo or Hotchkis sway bars

I have done some searches and found these two to be the most recommended.
My question is which one would be best for regular driving? (i.e. not racing on a track or anything like that).
Also is it ok to just put the sways in without upgrading the suspension?
Price doesn't really matter since I am willing to spend $ for a quality product.

Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate your help!

Re: Nismo or Hotchkis sway bars

NIsmo and Hotchkis can give the Nuetral feel but in the future if you do get into racing hotchkis can be a better deal since they are adjustable.

Re: Nismo or Hotchkis sway bars

I am ahead of you. I installed my hotchkis last weekend and today I installed TEIN H springs. I absolutely love both products.

Titan motor sports in Florida. Ask for the 350Z group buy and they are $250 shipped!!! Just had my Hotchkis installed on thursday and they made a huge difference on my car. I have TEIN Basics. They sways fit the G, the 350Z and G Coupe and Sedan all have the same OEM sways so the 350Z hotchkis will fit. The fact that they are 3 way adjustable fr and rr gives you the choice to tinker with ride stiffness, etc over the nismo set.
www.titanmotorsports.com or call (407) 277-8423 and ask for the 350Z group buy.

Re: Nismo or Hotchkis sway bars

To answer your question... it is absolutly ok to change ur sways without upgrading the rest of ur suspension. I did and i could really telll the advantages of the bars.. My ride was much stiffer and roll/sway was nearly gone.

Also, Eibachs are adjustable... you can also try cusco's....i have no idea if they are adjustable but they are a great brand.

Re: Nismo or Hotchkis sway bars

Thanks Ducatiadam!!
Will the sway bars make the ride more ridgid (i.e. the bumps in the road will be felt more)
I figure it is the suspension that affects the ride but just wanted to confirm this.
Thanks again for the help! Much appreciated!!

Re: Nismo or Hotchkis sway bars

it will make ur ride more rigid... not to the extent of changing ur springs... it will stiffen up the car a bit thou. You'll feel things more than stock... I felt the car was very different with the bars....but it was mainly the steering and responsiveness that was totally different....not so much the dampening of bumps.....However, now that i have done other things to my car since the sway bars.... i feel lots of stuff in the road. I can reduce most of it with better shocks. Still using the stock ones. I'll get to replacing them sooner or later.

Re: Nismo or Hotchkis sway bars

Is there an issue with fitment with the Brola exhaust at all? Also do they just Bolt on or do you need an alignment or adjustments after install?

Re: Nismo or Hotchkis sway bars

Had the s-tech since last September and Hotchkis since last March. They work great on the G just don't set it to stiff at front. I had my settings at stiffest at front and medium at the rear and it gave my car a major push (understeer), So I adjusted them to Softest in front and left the rear as is at medium. This setting was very ideal for me cus' now the car behaves that way it's suppose to behave. Here are some pics of the sways before and after I installed it.
