2003 G35 Two Problems - Cruise Control (P1574) & Turn Signal Issue
Hello everyone.
Recently our trusty 2003 G35 Sedan has started having problems (go figure - just 2k miles over the warranty). I'll cut to the chase as I could really use some help.
I've researched the following issue on AllData online and found a bunch of information, but if anyone has info to share - I'd appreciate it.
Cruise Control will not engage (light flashes) and we got a Service Engine light. I pulled the codes and they were u1001 (CAN error), P1574 (Speed sensor inputs don't match) and P0500 (Speed Sensor Malfunction).
I cleared the codes but of course the problem remains. Tonight while driving home the speedo went all haywire and the car bogged out hard - even with the gas pedal fully depressed. I'm assuming the "rear" ABS Speed sensor is the issue? (Research showed the rear abs ss and the TCM provide the signals via CAN for the ASCD to function). When we got home tonight we had no service engine light, but I pulled the codes anyway. Back again were u1001 and P1574 (no P0500) this time.
I can order the sensor for 180.00 online (70.00 cheaper then the dealership) as I really don't want to drive the thing if it's going to bog out and have performance issues. We do a lot of highway driving - would not be good.
Second Issue: Just a week ago - the turn signal flashers inside the car (green arrow indicators on the dash) started working intermittently. The bulbs are still flashing on the outside of the car (all of them) - but only work on the dash - sometimes. Same for the emergency flashers. I located a wiring diagram and I suspect it could be a ground somewhere (who knows where to find that) or the turn signal switch on the steering column.
Anyone had this issue or want to share some thoughts on it? I'd greatly appreciate the input.
Thanks in advance!

Rear Speed Sensor - Did not fix
Ok - an update on the issue. Replaced the rear ABS speed sensors (since the Pcodes point to that) - and it did not fix the issue.
Cruise control "set" light is still flashing and it's still pulling a P1574 code. No service engine light.
I think I've read elsewhere that the flashing set light is common to the brake switch and the steering wheel ASCD controls.
Can anyone confirm?
Thanks.

I was driving in the rain approx 30-40mph and out nowhere the "set" light started flashing at a fast pace. At 70k, my stock 2006 g35 coupe is out of warranty. From researching around, people that have had the same issue mostly said it was a one time thing. Any input is greatly appreciated.
my hazards just started goin off for no reason few days ago.. so i scanned it and got bcm codes 1708,1709,1710,1711.. i cleared them, checked all fuses and relays, decided then to check my bcm.. found the green/red wire to the bcm for hazards and when i touched it it stopped.. so i played with it for a few mins, unplugging and pluggin it back it to the bcm..
now my hazards dont work at all but everything else works perfect... also my tpms light should be on and it is now off... im thinkin i need a new bcm
