Stillen Tamer
Just installed a Z-tube given to me by a co-worker with a Z who went CAI. Didnt expect much, but couldnt pass it up for free. What I didnt expect is how much quieter the Stillen sedan X-Pipe is now. The whole system just feels more "tuned" to work better together than with the stock intake. All I have is the K/N with the stock box, no plenum and this thing runs better than ever. Should have done this sooner. Anybody have the same resulting quietness from this combo?

funny thing..........
when i swapped my screwey resonated intake runner for the "z tube" i found the exhaust (especially below 3500) to sound much quieter.... gone was that neat grumle at 2900-3100, and it now was a more even sound....
thought it was just me.....

although, the 4500- up sound was much thicker, and sounder 'stronger' than before

Nope, not just you. The drone is far less below 2.5K, and can barely hear the exhaust at constant 60-80 mph. But when I get on it, it does turn heads. Poor guy hitch hiking on an onramp got an earful yesterday as I blasted by WFO. He looked like he just [censored] his pants as I watched him in my rearview mirror. 'Grin'
