Air relief plug(s)...1 or 2?

Hi,

I am planning to do the coolant change this week. From Bythabay's video, the air relief plug is on the battery side but on the Infiniti manual, the air relief plug is on the other side where the brake fluids are.

Are there two air relief plugs???

Thanks...

The service manual for my car refers to only one, and that is by the battery towards the back of the engine. Used that and it worked fine for me.

Hmmm...now that I am looking at it again, maybe I was not looking at it correctly.

But isn't that container on the left the brake fluids?

yes, but that is the JDM version of the picture. This is the passenger side of the engine.

trust me, open your hood. That tube you see connected to the plenum goes right into the battery compartment. It is a vacuum tube.

I took my Sentra in to have anti-freeze drain and refill two weeks ago. I don't think the guy open any air relief plugs so there were probably air pockets inside. Anyway, I saw him filling the coolants a couple inches over Max and then ran the car a bit. The next few days it went from two inches above Max to two inches above Min and then it stabilized at that level. Fill it up with Peak coolant and that was it.

Does oil change shops take your coolants? Just wanna know where I need to dispose it. Also, will have to get rid of ATF fluids too.

I have always used the one on the battery side. Done the drain/refill ~8 or 9 times on my car.

Does coolant bubble out of that air relief valve? I've done a coolant swap on my old Honda and it got messy b/c coolant spewed out while it was purging. Just wanted to see if it were the same case on the G.
