hate to bring this one back from the dead..but just wandered if you found out if this is a normal noise or not..mine seems to have a ticking/clattering noise that doesnt sound like an injector tick and is coming from drivers side of engine..I can hear it really well through drivers front wheel well area. Its not OMFG loud where I would rush it to the dealer..just sounds louder than what I would consider most cars to be at idle and seems like a deep tick. Just curious as to what everyone else on this thread ended up having..

Not a G, but my 03 3.5 Altima has the same notorious valvetrain ticking noise--has done it for quite some time now, not to mention the valve chatter noise it makes when accelerating under load sometimes

I also get valve tick @ idle / but from what I was told rattling during acceleration is heat shielding over cats expanding ?

My 06 3.5 Altima I had made that same ticking sound. Have not noticed any strange noises so far on my 06 coupe. My heatshields also made a hell of a racket for awhile till they were tighted back up.

i know its a dead forum,
but what i was told, was that the Gs and the 350s are notorious for having valve springs and rockers make noise, they say its not to bad, but if it starts to get real loud your gonna wanna get it fixed.
And if its not one of those two, it could be your timing chain tensioners...but idk about that for sure

Also if your car is under a warranty, make sure you bring it in and tell them you want them to fix it.
