Video of kinetix plenum

I am going to try to attach a link to a video I made of the new kinetix plenum (V4) I have just installed. If you pay close attention, you can see how it flexes outwards. It is weird since common sense would make me think that it would be flexing inwards. Also, I made another clip of what the stock exhaust sounds like after the installation.
My mods are:
popcharger
z-tube
kinetix plenum
Crawford high flow cats

Well, the URL trick didn't work so just copy and paste the following addresses in your browsers:

Re: Video of kinetix plenum

How do you do that??
BTW, if I use your links, the first one doesn't let me download the file and the second doesn't work at all. But if I just copy and paste the 2 http addresses above, they work. So, I don't know what is going on.

Re: Video of kinetix plenum

How's the performance difference between the stock plenum and the Kinetix (or did you just replace a v3)?

Re: Video of kinetix plenum

iLLG35, I will keep you posted on my progress.

jjelly, I did not replace a V3. I had the stock plenum. I don't think I would be the right person to answer your perfomance question as I installed the high flow cats first. From what I am told, the difference between the stock and the aftermarket plenum is not significant. However, when you combine it with high flow cats the engine really gets going. I think if you do the plenum, you should pursue doing the cats as well to realize the full potential of both parts.

Re: Video of kinetix plenum

mamboking, I'm not sure why the hyperlinks didn't work but they didn't but copying and pasting the links did work. I returned your original post to just plain addresses.
I couldn't get the second (exhaust) link to work at all.

Btw, sound is cool-- real mean.

Re: Video of kinetix plenum

Before this, I always wanted to do the cat back mod. Maybe fujitsubo or stillen. Now, I am not sure I want to do it at all. I think it is plenty for me regarding the db level.

Re: Video of kinetix plenum

mambo,
I have cats and a Z tube right now. No other mods.
Both of these made a slight improvement, but now I want a little bit more.

Re: Video of kinetix plenum

I'd like to see it because it is counterintuitive.

But others have said it appears to flex outward.

I've been to dynos and I couldn't tell, I was too scared of something blowing up to get too close.

Should be less than atmospheric pressure in there. At all times. Unless you have a really really big dyno fan.

Re: Video of kinetix plenum

I'm guessing the flex is the primary reason the Kinetix plenum is cracking. Just a hypothesis, but a seemingly valid one based on the area of failure.

You are right. I checked this morning and they kicked me out of Lycos for violating their agreement. I guess too many people downloaded the video on the first day. Oh well!!! any suggestions where to host the video???
