For you guys with the k&N filter instead of the pop charger, does it make a difference in sound? I kno the pop chareger does have a whistling noise, but can i get the same noise with the k&n??...i already have a Z tube...thanx!!

 

i have the whistling noise with the K&N panel and z-tube together. i used to have the popcharger and i noticed that the whistle is not as noticeable as the popcharger, which i like. i loved the popcharger whistle when i got it, but then kinda got a little annoyed with it afterwards so i just put in a K&N panel. love the sound now, the whistle is pretty slight but i hear the growl more . .. .

I have the drop in with the z-tube and really like the combo. The best way to describe it is the car has a meaner growl like the last post states. I only hear the whistle with the hood up (while parked and revving) or under WOT where the tranny downshifts (I have an AT).

I think this combo is great. You can tell the car is not stock when you hear it coming, it just sounds cooler.

I have this combo and there is a whistling that I can hear at WOT. It's not over-the-top, but it's there. I really like the sound produced by this combo!
