2004 6MT Sedan wont' start --- thoughts??
OK, I've got a 2004 G35, 6MT w/ about 64k miles. Under warranty it would occasionally not start, turned over just fine but would not run. After about 1-2 minutes, it would start just fine. I could not find a pattern. Took it to the dealer who of course could not find a problem, suggested I call them when it happened. I never did this because once they got to the car it would have started just fine.
So now, out of warranty, it's won't start at all. It had been getting more frequent, but would always start.
Any thoughts on what might be going on?

Lest begin.
Clean MAF
Clean/Replace air filter
Check fuel filter (shouldn't clog until 100k+ miles)
Recalibrate Idle air flow.
Reset ECU.
Check Idle. (should be 550-650)
Check starter. (most auto part stores do it for free)
and Good Luck.

we used to own a 2004 maxima and had the same problem. It had the stock intake for 50k and it had the same symptoms as your descirbing. It would start up when the atmosphere was thin and it wouldn't start up in early morning hours with thick air. I changed the paper filter and the problem disappeared.
Good luck
