Oil Consumption & Glendale Infiniti

Well in reading the TSB from Nissan I ran the test that establishes whether there is an OC problem with your car (dipstick ruler measurement).
Turns out I have this problem, FVCK!

My question is has anyone dealt with Glendale Infiniti with regards to this?
Are they mod friendly or should I remove my MREV2 & spacer before going in to them?

I don't want them to try and blame the OC problem on the mods that we all know have nothing to do with the problem.

They can't deny you warranty service without proving your mods caused the problem. Since you have OC, you will get a new motor so why not just take out the mods anyway?

Whether a dealer is mod frendly* usually relates to how much profit they made FROM YOU on a new car sale, how often you visit them [every 90 days] for PAID services.
Nissan always asks how they rate you as a customer and whether or not you have done YOUR PART in maintaining vehicle.

* The service manager has a choice on how he answers Nissans questions and how positive he is towards your warranty request. Whether he mentions mods depends on your relationship.

When my Q was new and under warranty for first 7 years and 100k. I always bought small Xmas presents and sent Xmas cards. Took SM to lunch 3 times. I probably spent $300 max and received over $8,000 in warranty services.
I once went home with 4 brand new wheels in trunk as a surprise gift and over years got many free Infiniti logo items.

How you treat dealer employees is always up to you.

Good to know.
I actually purchased my car from Metro Infiniti which is 40 min away from my house.
I go to Glendale Infiniti because they are 4 min away from my house.
I don't go to Glendale Infiniti or any other dealership for oil changes or anything else because of price.
So I definetly haven't made them any money.
Looks like I'll be demodding the ride this weekend.

Hopefully you have written documentation [from any business] proving the exact mileage and date of oil changes tied to your VIN and signed by someone who can be deposed.

Nissan can get sticky about your oil change requirement PROOF especially when a $10,000 engine replacement is concerned.

By the way, failure to be truthful about prior engine mods or changing things before presentation claiming warranty could be proven as Attempted or ACTUAL Insurance Fraud especially when you create a permanent record on the INET saying you plan to commit the fraud in advance.

Always be careful of admitting criminal intent on the WEB.

Remember a Warranty is an Insurance Policy.

^^ But we all know a spacer isn't going to cause OC so this thread would certainly be debatable in court.

Now a tt or sc kit, thats a whole 'nother story!!! LOL

Don't take it off, but make sure you tell them about it. The new engine does NOT come with an intake plenum, the reuse the existing plenum (as well as many other items). However, the tech might be a bit confused when putting it back together, specifically the 6 delron spacers that go on the middle bolts. Good luck,
