Unhappy MD 5/16 iso copper installed, performance dropped!!

hey guys, i'm starting this thread to get an idea of what you guys think I should do.

I bought my car, drove it around.. yeahhh awesome... then... i bought the sprintbooster , installed it... HELL OF A DIFFERENCE!! like a whole new car... then i had my grounding kit/spacers and BIG performance drop

Right now, i HATE driving the car... honestly... its almost like, the only thing that made a difference was the sprintbooster.. i'm sure the MD spacers have gains but do i need to reset my ecu?

the shop (very reputable here in toronto) didn't reset my ecu by default since customers might have custom tuned ecus and they only do it when requested.

SO MY QUESTION IS...

Do i need to reset the ECU in order to see the changes? I want to first take out the sprintbooster, reset the ecu, then reinstall it so i can see the difference from that. Or should i reset the ecu with everything installed?
please let me know what you guys think i should do.... i will be seriously disappointed if my sprintbooster mod didn't function like it did before.

That was all very helpful Bloodline.

T7, if it were me, I'd reset the ECU and see if that helps at all. Are you sure your manifold is properly sealed as well?

I would check for a vacuum leak form the spacer install, you should notice a positive difference after the install.

sorry 4 the delay, been so sad.. didn't even bother to login.. maybe i should have it checked again for any leaks.. thanks guys... and i will be resetting the ecu later on tonight...

sprintbooster is a plug-n-play device that will cause you to have instant shifts in manumode (5AT) as well as superbbbbbbbbbbbbb (ya i used that word lol) throttle response. when you want to do a lane change, its easy as pie... the power is always there... and when you accelerate (in 5at), its amazing.. holds the gears longer... revs up higher .. i can go on but it just makes me sad to talk about it considering all of the above is no longer present after the spacer installation...

thanks guys..

I reset it around 7:30pm... drove it as hard as i could.. but was downtown so couldn't do much with the bad roads... still no improvement.... got on the highway... drove it hard...still no improvement... then went for a meet.. and after about 30miles of total driving.. and 5 hours later.. on my way back at around 12:30ish. my car was begging to go faster... not only the shifting and response times are back.. but when i got on the highway... the car KEPT pulling when i pressed the pedal during the whole time.. no matter what speed i was going.. *sigh*...

THanks guys for your feedback.. looks like my booster has finally kicked in and the ecu has properly learned to work with the spacer...

: : THE END : :

Toltally vacume leak

I rem. during my install getting something doubled over when installing MD spacer. I saw it before I got everthing tightened done. Maybe a gasket between lower and upper phlenum???

Hopefully you didn't ocvertighten the bolts on top and cracked your upper phlenum...pretty common if you didn't use a torque wrench.
