Revshift Poly Engine Mounts. Love the mount, hate revshift.

I bought a set of poly engine mounts from revshift a little over one month ago and today is when I recieve them. I had to file a paypal claim just to get the seller to give me a tracking number and to actually send the package. I haven't had this bad of an experience in years! But, anyways, I did finally get them so hear is my review.

My oem mounts were distroyed so badly that my engine would hit my hood. The new mounts seems relatively well made and look like they should hold a good amount of beating. Vibration went up a good deal, to the point where it is annoying and you can slightly hear the A/C compressor spinning ( the sound is being transmitted to the cars unibody ). I'm going to see if raising the idle speed will help. While it's barely tolerable, I can't imagine how people with solid mounts can live with their car.

Here is a pic:

In the end, I guess I'm happy with the mount it's self but I will not recommend doing business with revshift and will not do so myself ever again.

I haven't heard many people needing to change out the engine mounts.

You might think about using an engine damper as well. It can help with the vibrations.

My oem mount came apart. I also have an engine damper, I'll be removing it to see if it helps.

Well, I removed the engine damper and vibration went down at least 50%. I'm so happy because I thought I was going to go crazy. Now all I need is to raise my idle and I'm good to go. You can still hear the A/C compressor inside the car...hmmm...oh well.

LMAO! BOTH were the same and I could rock the engine so bad that it would hit the walls to the side...lol. Thank goodness I had an ebay/stillen wannabe engine damper to help.

I'm still undecided if I can live with my car's vibration. It's not that bad but I kinda miss the ultra smooth oem mounts ( well, when they used to be smooth anyways ). I do love the neck snapping jolts when downshifting...

No, the damper only causes more vibration.

I'll probably end up putting the stock mounts back on because I kinda miss the smoothness my car had before.

How difficult it is change the engine mount? Is it only one? I suspect mine is damaged as I am sensing more vibration in the engine in the handle and firewall lately by just reving the engine in neutral.
If a local shop does it how much they would charge? any estimate?

I don't know a lot about engine mounts, but why would you go with an aftermarket brand if you don't like the vibration? Why didn't you just purchase some OEMs?

If you are talking to me then I didn't necesarily mind if it vibrated more...but I didn't expect it to vibrate as much as it did. I did love how solid it felt when driving aggresively.

Changing the mount is a piece of cake...I did both sides in a little under 1 hour with regular tools. I can't see anyone charging over $100 to do it.

if you go back to stock I'll take the polys off your hands if you want to unload them

i had an very bad experience with their customer service... i needed to return a set of unused mounts still in the unopened container. they were not very responsive to my emails. once they did get back to me and found out i wanted a return and refund (minus a restock fee which i was fine with) instead of an exchange they ghosted me.. the only time i could get them to respond is when i posted something on one of their facebook/insta posts... then their emails were short and rude.
i sent them back with signature required.. they had it for over a month and still no refund... same song and dance.. had to post on social media.. they claimed not to have gotten it and wanted a tracking number... once i sent that all i got was the autogenerated email from sales showing the refund. no commentary, apology, etc..
i sent one last email expressing my disappointment and frustration giving them a last chance to save what could be a good future customer ( i spend about $20k/year on car stuff, ls swaps, suspension upgrades, on bmw's porsches, and others.. the only repsonse was

"well your refund was prosssed , good day"

terrible follow up and customer care.

People have good luck with Megan stiffer rubber mounts and Z1 poly mounts if you are looking for alternatives. Streetrays makes a very reasonably priced poly trans mount.
