I would just toss the old radiator. Thats what I did...

Your filler neck cracked.

You will need a rad cap, and if you are replacing the radiator now, you might think about replacing the radiator cap and thermostat right now while you do the radiator.

rad cap = $13, T-stat = $20

If you have ~100K miles I would recommend changing them all while you do the radiator.

Not much extra effort and will ensure you don't have a problem with those in the future.

OEM 300ZX TT cap is half the price and comparable... how much difference you will notice over OEM G cap is probably negligible... but combined with other small efforts (t-stat, water wetter, etc) it will help keep thing cool which is good for performance and longevity. Every little bit helps

+1

1992 OEM 300ZX rad cap is 1.2 bar (~16 psi) at $13
Nismo rad cap is 1.3 bar (~17 psi) at $50

the difference is minimal and for the price, go with the 300ZX one from NISSAN

I think he's saying his overflow tank has a slight leak?

Either it has a hairline crack and is seeping - or it’s too full and when the rad overflows, the fluid is coming out of the side opening at the top of tank?

other wies ok. but you need trim alot in your intake if stillen. pop or cold intake ok.it will take 2 hour . instal radiator 30min trim that other part about 2 hour. anf you need 2 gal nissan coolant and 2 gal water.i use about 15qt.or just pay auto shop for abound $50. maybe better.one more just use stock cap just incase they come with cap but look junk. that's way i put greedy.
