UR Pulley's

I tried doing a search and cant find much.. I've got the 'bug' and am looking for something else to do.. can anyone let me know the advantages/disadvantages of UR Pulley's?

I am also considering High Flow cats , or should i just look at an exhaust? I dotn want too loud since I'm still young and cops love pulling over young looking guys in their loud cars

Buy lowering springs!!! IF you don't wanna go loud, thats the first thing I do to every car, H&R are really nice, thats what I have on my 05X.

How much do they lower? Does the wheel gap look even?

not perfectly even, but more than other springs I think for the X, they ride very smooth, I am very happy with them, I think they are supposed to lower about 2", but I think it was more

with stock wheels on, given the terrain

with my 19s

I'm just tyring to sell you on them for your next mod, those pics of mine on that canyon, I drifve that in the winter with mine, its all good!

But I would not get a pulley, you wont notice anything from it. Get HFC, thats the most constricted part of your exhaust. If you just want a little sound, do the HKS rear section exhaust. THMmotorsports on this site sells them for like 375.; search for sound clips all over here and youtube.

This si that same canyon in the snow, with my springs DO ITTT!!!!!! i'm a pusher...

Doing a muffler isn't that loud. You should be fine provided you don't drive around revving it up all the time or driving in a lower gear to make it louder.

When i was young I drove around in cars with open headers once in a while. Now that was loud. Now i'm old (28) and loud cars hurt my ears

Wow you're old. I've got you by at least a couple of years....

For some conversation on the pulley topic, check out this recent thread started by a pretty cool guy:

Also look here for drops and what they are from:

Montreal roads are terrible, potholes every couple of feet, s
lowering a car is never a great idea here.

I'll look into the HKS rear section..can I keep my stock muffler with this or will this restrict it?

It is a muffler. It'll replace your stocker. Bolts on to your stock resonator pipe.

Deep, sweet sound. 100% better than stock.

Forget the pulleys, they're a waste of money. Get a plenum spacer. It's the single best performance mod you can do on a G. More power and a deeper intake note. And there are lots of springs out there that work really well without dropping the car too much. I'm like you in that I drive my X in the snow in the winter, so a 2" drop (50mm) is definitely not in my future. An inch maybe (25mm).

+100 on the HKS. Check out Youtube for the sound, it's incredible.

Personally I removed my muffler. Yes it's quite a bit louder, but oh so sweet
I still have the resonator in so it doesn't sound stupid or raspy (once warm). It is easy to pull of just to see if you like that sound or not. Plus it is a !free! mod When you're cruising below 3k rpm it isn't loud. Once you push it though
