Crackling sound on very low RPM

Hi, I have an '03 G35 coupe 6speed MT. I was on a very steep hill in San Francisco yesterday when my car started to roll back. I had to rev the engine pretty high and hold the clutch for a while until I got over the hill. I could smell the clutch burn for several hours after that. Although the clutch burn smell eventually went away, but I have started to notice this minor crackling noise on very low RPM when I roll the car from a dead stop . I don't hear that noice on high RPM or when the car starts accelerating in the first gear or any gear for that matter.
Anyone have an idea why the momentary crackling noise when the car comes off a dead stop? Wondering if it has something to do with burnt clutch I experienced yesterday or just a coincidence.

Thanks

Is it coming from the rear? Could be axle click. There's a TSB on that, it happened to mine a while back.
