Engine starting problem –intermittent
Engine starting problem –intermittent
I have a 2003 6MT that has been extremely reliable but now is starting to show some age. When I turn the key, intermittently, the engine will not crank. Push the clutch in a few times and then turn the key and the engines starts up. Other times, the engine starts on the first try. I assume they have a safety switch on the clutch pedal, is this correct? I have also noticed that when I turn the key, there may be a 3 or 4 second delay before the engine cranks so I am wondering if it may be the starter. Anyone have similar problems?
Starting problem
My 05 G35x having starting problems.
It'll always crank, but crank a few time before start, some times fails to start after 5-10 cranking, had to turn off & try again.
So far has always started on the second try. Been to dealer several time,
changed starter, no impact.
Change starter, samo samo,
don't know what going on. Dealer could not find problems,
any suggestions?

After taking it to the Dealer, they verified it was the clutch safety switch. Had them replace it and it works fine. My issue was the engine would not even turn over, sounds like your engine turns but does not start. I don’t think it would be the starter, maybe something in the fuel system area. You may want to see if HKS has a FAQ section and see if anyone else has had similar issues. Good luck ...
