I had just come back home after a week in Oklahoma with family.I missed driving my car,so I decided to take it for a spin to Wal-Mart and get some stuff I needed.I walked to my car,tried to start it,only to hear it rattle and not start.I had to call my brother to come jump-start my car.It was very embarassing,especially at night.I'm getting a new battery at Autozone,and was wondering what the security code or whatever is for the 2005 G35 coupe?

I've never heard of a security code? I changed my battery out a few months ago and didn't have to do anything more than swap out the batteries.

 

OP.. did you come from Hondas? The only make that i know of where you would need a security is Honda and its to be able to use the stereo head unit... theft deterrant device for stock head units... LOL...


Also... have a mechanic check your battery with a volt meter.. it could have just been drained from nut starting the car for a week... its happened to other G's

BMW has a security code for the stereos in some of their models.


Nothing on our cars has a security code unless you are cutting a key at the dealership, but that can be traced with your VIN # anyways.
