It won't accelerate hard at all, and when attempted to it jerks. What are the symptoms of this? why is this happening? there is some performance done such as a piggy back perfomance cpu,crawford z cats and stillen exhaust, along with ignition mod done to it, but they were installed 26,000miles ago and now the OD is showing 37,000. Any advice input would be appreciated.

 

first thing i would do is run by autozone and check what code is popping up. then repost with the results. should be free just go to the counter and ask them to run a code for you.

 

What piggy back are you running?

What "ignition mod" did you do?

Is this random, or have you done/changed anything recently?

 

So i take it to a local car shop, he seems to be reliable with the car and especiallyt the performance work done to the car. i drop it off to get worked on then calls me and says its the MAF sensor and that there is insificient voltage being produced, he changes the Maf sensor, done deal. Friday evening i drive the car home..working fine..the weekend it ran smoothly, now this afternoon i started it up smoothly, drive fine and i decided i would fill up the gas tank, filled it up super at the local shell gas station. I start it up...drove fine...i take it to the carwash and after its towel dried i notice some noise from the exhaust and the car shakes a little and i notice my rpm dropping and rising. I hear this somewhat different sound from my exhaust like its clogged or something and at the same time a very ugly sound coming from it. i try to drive it to the light and there is hesitation, its very slow with no power. I drive it about 1/4 of a mile at a light and it shakes more and stalls. i turn it on to park it somewhere and just gets me to a safe spot and stalls again. i then try to start it again and now it wont even start. i hear the ignition trying to start but the car won't. i end up having it towed home on a flatbed.

2new CrawfordZ catback exhaust when i got these changed my check engine light was coming on and the codes were saying that one of the cats went..mind u these were Crawfordz Catback also

Any advice or info would be appreciated. i should have just gone to MRC in spotswood from the beginning...i chose this shop because it was local and convenient but i already paid this shop a good buck for it. if he doesnt resolve it... MRC is my next choice.

 

i had some water go up into my cool air intake, it got the slip light on and the vdc off light solid... it wont go over 2000 rpm, ima need a oil change and a flush, asap!!! as long as my oil dont look milky.. im still prayin for my baby to be ok.. the engine started and white smoke came out the exhuast due to water inside my engine.. WTF!

 

If you MAF sensor goes bad, your car will be like that.

what kind of air filter do u have. some of the oiled filter can make a MAF go bad

before buy another 1 just try to get some CRC eletric contact cleaner and from far just give it a light wash. leave it to dry for a few mins and then slap it back on the car and see if its better, if not then just get a new1.

This is coz you HKS twin power has gone bad just get them removed and the car will be fine. you dont need them.

 

I'm having a similar problem with my 2004 G35 coupe. What was your resolution? I don't have any mode except a pop-charger thats been installed for 60K now so I'm not sure why my car cranks but won't start. Did you end up taking it to auto zone to get the error codes? What did you have to do to fix it? Any advice would be helpful.
