Help with camshaft position sensor
Hi,
I am trying to replace my camshaft position sensor. I managed to get the bolt off that holds it in place, but now it is locked in a green plastic, that i cant seem to remove. I see that the clip moves up and down, but in either location it will not come loose. Anyone done this before? Any tips? Thanks,

all you need to do is push in with a screw driver from the front until it clicks and then pull the plug off. I took a flat head screw driver, pushed on the green tab as shown in the picture and then pulled the connector off
Originally I got the SES, VDC and slip lights, and pulled the P0340 code. I had problems with the engine being hard to start, and what felt like a loss of power while driving. I had 6 codes appear on the OBD-II scanner, but they were all the same. I replaced the camshaft position sensor as i mentioned above. The "stalling" problem went away, but the car is still hard to start. I keep clearing the codes, but they keep coming back, but only 4 instead of 6, so it had to have fixed something. Car runs fine other than the starting problem. Any ideas?

i am still getting four instances of the P0340 code, have a hard time getting around to fixing this, i read on my350Z that it sometimes may need the contacts cleaned with electrical cleaner, which i havent tried as of yet.
F@#$! im dealing with the same issue now... going to autozone to get the part... the scan said the same code(s) as mentioned above..but it said its the driver side sensor.... where exactly is it located and is it a quick replacement or does it take awhile?

I had a similar problem on my Skyline 250GT (G35 sedan body with a VQ25DD motor). Hard to start and loss of power. Nissan replaced TWO camshaft position sensors and the problem was solved. Does the VQ35DE run 1 or 2 camshft position sensors?
the car would die on me at stop lights... hard time starting the car ( it tries but keeps attempting to turn over) kinda sluggish ... and sometimes while driving it had a hiccup while cruising.
