I want to go full synthetic but it was expensive at places like mr. lube(90 CDN) Are oil in bottles ok to put in? or those oil changing places have some kind of better stuff? What oil should i get in a bottle and how many litres to put in? thanks sorry if im a noob...

You need to do some searching here. There are numerous threads about which oils are best. No need to start another one. As to volume, refer to your owners manual.

Any of the major brands of oil are good to use. I wouldn't put "Mr Smiths Recycled Oil" in my car, but Castrol, Mobil, Penzoil, Amsoil, etc are all great oils.

I myself prefer conventional oils. I am one of those than want to change the oil frequently so i use 5 quarts of Castrol GTX 5w-30 and a Purolator PureONE filter.

I've had friends work at quicklube places. After hearing some of their stories, it will be a cold day in hell before I let any place like that touch my car. If i were to ever pay for an oil change, it would be done at the dealer or at a local mechanic i trust.

Ok cool. But oil from those plastic bottles fine? Because looking at their brouchures and "oil from Bottle" was way cheaper.

Oil from plastic bottles?? As opposed to the oil from glass jars??

Not quite sure what you mean. Pretty much all oil comes in a plastic bottle these days

any type of oil now has to go though alot of testing and research so just about any oil is safe, hard to say there is one best. Sure there maybe tests but I don't feel like paying $13/qt cuz some test tells me it will last for 10,000 miles at 210* cuz that will never happen with me

Don't get this. It's not what the manual recommends and it's not really designed for the VQ35. Plus, it's $11 a quart. I do agree on the M45 filter, its basically the same as ours but has a larger capacity. I went with a Napa Gold filter (made by Wix) instead of the Mobil 1.

I have used Mobil (no "e") 1 in my sedan for 83,000 miles and have had no problems. It uses about a 1/2 quart in 7500 mile changes. I have recently tried Valvoline full synthetic and it's seems nice. It has a high zinc content (which Mobil has removed for some reason) which is supposed to protect better. But either one will work fine.

Lot's of good info here: http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/

Clean oil can be a sign of two things; your filter is really working good, or you oil is not.

Sure, it works, but I think you're wasting your money. Per Eneos' website, 0W-50 is for "Sports cars with large displacements and high outputs, high-performance passenger cars, racing-specification cars". The only one the G35 might qualify for is "high-performance passenger car", but that's up for debate. You'll never get the benefits this oil can provide, so why use it? More specifically, why pay extra for those benefits?

A high quality full synthetic like Mobil 1 or Amsoil is going to do just as good a job, last just as long, and be at least $20 cheaper per oil change. $20 may be nothing to you, but that doesn't mean you aren't wasting it.

Use exactly 5 quarts (that's how much each bottle holds) of Amsoil 5w30 and a good-quality filter like Wix or Amsoil. PM me for the hookup on dealer price.
