Now I bet many of you would get better times if they used more track like Z tires. Now I also think many of you would have yield better times and more hp/tq if they got their exaust stystem and most of their engine cleaned and port/polished. I know my friend got her car port/polished and she gained around 25hp on her 2003 MR2-S and asked if it would do yield same amount of hp on Nissans VQ35 engine and they said yes if it do it properly.

With no desire to derail this thread, I am confused over what appears to be some very inconsistent data published here.
Based on everything I have read, N/A engines seem to peak out at about 250 WHP, although I haven't seen one with all possible N/A mods dynoed yet.
How is it possible that one N/A sedan would dyno 10% higher than other N/A sedans, especially when 1/4 mile times do not seem to support the higher measured HP?

If you notice the guys running in LA have to deal with higher elevation and warmer weather this directly effects the performance, their times are not corrected to sea level. A dyno will correct to SAE standards that make comparing numbers somewhat closer, but not 100% fair to compare with others unless same day and dyno. High dyno numbers may indicate that you are making more power, but getting it to the ground ex. traction/ driver skill are factors to keep in mind.

I don't doubt that Clint's sedan is one of the fastest N/A G35s out there--especially when you consider that his 1/4 mile time at LACR equates to a *much* lower time at a lower elevation, higher quality track. That said, I'm not comfortable using equations to try to normalize the track time results. I'm pretty sure the LACR guys will take another trip down to a better track and we'll see some great numbers.
As for the dyno numbers, I've seen 30 hp swings during the same dyno session due to heat soak, outside temp fluxuations, etc.
