So i just put in the z-tube and k&n filter today in my garage and after i installed them i wanted to hear the difference in sound. So while in my garage i reved the engine and around 2500-3000 rpm i hear a small whistle noise. Im just wondering if that is normal for z-tube and k&n filter.

No whistle from mine. Did you forget to attach the crankcase

The wistle sound is mostly associated with other CAI or the popcharger.

yeah, i turned my car off after reving it the first time checked under the hood and everything was connected and ok. so i pulled on the tube lightly to see if maybe something wasnt tight enough. everything was. so i started my car up again and there is no whistle sound now so everything is good, but i am gonna watch it for a couple days to make sure.

Whistling sound is coming from the K& N filter...

I got a whistle with the K&N, but I usually can only hear it in lower RPMs at WOT, though I guess in a garage it could be more obvious because of the enclosed space.

I installed my z-tube and pop-charger last night… Noticed a little difference in sound and in response in throttle… Sound wise… Not to impressed. Still to quite for me… Need to install some exhaust.
