Engine pulley making noise

I have a pulley making a ringing type noise. Is this a common problem? I'm trying to figure out which 1 it is. Any ideas?

Depends on which one. You don't want any of them making noise, but some are worse than others. My guess is that your AC idler pulley has a bearing going out.

To figure out where the noise is coming from just get a small piece of hose (like garden house) put a funnel in one side.
Hold hose (funnel end) to ear and then just point around with other end of hose at various pulleys.

You should be able to isolate where the noise is coming from.
This is an old school mechanics trick!

same prob

I have this same prob. It only rings when I cut the climate control on. If this is a pulley prob, would changing to aftermarket unorthodox pulleys eliminate this?
