My 03 Sedan has been running sluggish for a while now, and its not as quick and smooth as it used to be. Just a few days ago, as I was slowing down to make a turn on a residential street, it just died on me. The car quietly turned off in the middle of the street.
I tried turning it on, and it was struggling to turn on but on the 3rd try, it finally turned on. It took like 6 cranks to turn on when it usually take about 1 or 2 cranks.
And then, today the exact same thing happens, as I'm slowing down to make a turn, it dies and it starts up again after a few more tries. After that, my VDC and Slip lights come on and stay on while I'm driving. Soon, they go a away and my "Service Engine Soon" light comes on and the other 2 lights go off.
What could be the issue?
my G is an 03 sedan with 50k on it, and some light mods (intake, exhaust, plenum spacer, coilovers).
Thanks in advance for any help guys!

So I went to pep boys to get a free scan and they came up with this:
p0340
camshaft position sensor a-bank 1 circuit malfunction
hope this helps. They said the part costs $140 and labor for installation would be an extra $290 ( @ $145 an hour)
Any advice? Anyone else deal with this same problem?

Ok, I went back to Glendale Infiniti and picked up the sensor (part # 23731-6J90B) for $118 including tax. I didn't have time to shop around because my car was stalling on the road constantly. I took it home and I just got done installing it.
It was very doable but was really irritating due to the small amount of space available. When I took out the old sensor, there was oil all over it, coming out of the slot where it sits (not sure if this is normal or not).
Once I put the new one in, I took the car for a very short spin and the 'Service Engine Soon' light was still on so I'm not sure what to do. I'll post back in a day or two once I give it enough time to cycle out.

Ok so after about 160 miles and 5 days, the check engine light finally went away and my car hasn't died on me since i changed out the camshaft position sensor. So far, so good.
I'm so glad I didn't go through the stealership. I've had a really bad experience with the service manager at Glendale Infiniti before this go around- a subject for a whole other thread (forgot his name but he is a bald African-American dude that treats customers like ****). I called to ask about my low idle RPM after installing the sensor, and the same guy picked up and he proceeded to insult my DIY attempt and defend his ridiculous labor rate, etc. Tells me to call back if I want to bring it in and have them solve it. Long story short, I waited it out, and I think I fixed the issue for $100, instead of $400.
Hope this helps anyone else that has this same problem. One thing I'm still unsure about though is the fact that I found oil all over the sensor when I pulled it out. I'm not sure if there was some sort of leak or it requires lube to function properly. And when i did my last oil change the oil drain pan felt lighter than usual, and thats even after I ran a half quart of the new oil through the system to clean it out.

After I drained all the old oil out of the system, I left the oil drain plug off (thing that you take off to let the oil drain out of the engine) and put in half a quart of the new, fresh oil in from where you normally fill up oil in the engine bay.
It goes down through the engine and drains out of the bottom, collecting any old oil that was left on the way.
It's sort of a waste of oil but some people like to do it. plus, you get 6 quarts when you get the pack at costco, and the G only needs 5, so you have an extra quart to use for this purpose and topping off if you run low on oil.
