I'm installing the UR pulley kit on my 5 Speed Auto Sedan. How I can hold the pulley to loose the nut? I have done this in manual transmission and was easy. In the UR pulley kit instruction refer me to the User Manual, but I don't have one. Any help will be very helpful.

What ever you do, don't be a dumbass and crank the engine while you've got a tool on that pulley. I saw a DIY that condoned this and it's a good way to really screw stuff up. Buy a chain wrench, and a new bolt, and do it right. Afterwards, do regular oil analysis and look for lead. If you see too much lead, put the stocker back on, sell the car, and live with the karma.

Another option: Their is another small splash cover directly behind the splash cover that you need to undo to change the oil. It covers the transmission housing and some other items. Remove it and there is an access panel right in the middle that is attached with one 10mm bolt. Remove the bolt and behind the panel you will see a flywheel. You can simply use a screwdriver or pry bar to prevent this flywheel from moving which keeps the crank from moving allowing you to tighten or loosen the pulley bolt. I attempted the install this weekend with the help of a friend (thanks al503). We were able to loosen and tighten the pulley bolt using this method. Unfortunately we could not get the original pulley to slide off and had to abort the intstall. Very disappointing. Not much room in the AT to work. I was bummed. Anyone else have trouble getting their stock pulley off?
