I have a 3000 dollar budget to spend....need help with some ideas

Well im new to infiniti G35s ive had 2 mustangs that ive built never done anything with a newer car before, sold both of my stangs and now have an auto 06 g35 coupe that i picked up for 11,000, with about 49k miles. Its got nothing done to it aside from wider tires and tinted tails.
So i was wondering how difficult it is to work on these cars and what upgrades would you guys get with 3000 dollars to spend, i would prob be able to do anything aside supercharge/turbo i would have to pay someone to do that. So please any input is good input so please help me out here so i can get the ball rolling on this,

thanks guys

Motordyne 5/16" Plenum Spacer & sway bars (Stillen, Motordyne, etc.) are always a good start.

IMHO, bolts on arent worth it, the ratio between money spent and gains is depressing. with those 3gs, id get a good set of coils from our marketplace, and a nice set of wheels and call it a day! and remove the tint in tails! GL

Keept the tinted tails...he's from california where its illegal to breathe more than the average person.

5/16" spacer, Polished/machined lower plenum, K&N filter, Motordyne ART test pipes, and Motordyne cat-back and finish it off with a tune.

If you have any money left over look into nitrous for when you want to have some real fun.

best bang-for-the-buck mods for an auto would be
1-plenum spacer (mrev)
2-high flow cats or test pipes

or

i loved my 8300k hid bulbs.

Is it posible to swap the lower end of the VQ37, crank, rods, pistons , into the VQ35? The specs show the same bore. Is the cylinder spaceing and block the same? If it could be done you'd pick up some torque with the extra displacement.

Welcome to Driver!

Since you found an '06 with only 45K mile on the clock you stole it at that price.... With the '06 you have the REVUP engine which benefits very well from MotorDynes MREV2 manifold and 5/16" ISO spacer which is worth close to 20 RWHP. Tony also designed a dual cat back exhaust system that frees up another 10+ HP and it looks and sounds great. Next mod s/b a z-tube and a K&N drop in filter worth 3 HP but the increase in sound is worth 10X the cost. Riverside Infiniti is a sponsor here on Driver and gives us really great prices on all the above listed items 800-919-8130....you've got $ left over, spend it on maintance and upgrade to synthetic fluids.

Save up another grand and buy a used turbo kit or a vortech.
