If you are going to be using a 150 shot, change the the plugs, get a proper engine managment and tune, and assperation mods.

This is the exact reason that I have asked the question. why not use it? It is alot safer then one might think. If everyone is worried about any type of motor damage why do they boost the na motor. The effects of boosting a motor offer much more stress then nitrous does.

Sorry I should have included. I have changed my plugs, I also have methonal injection to make it a bit safer to run but as to the rest of the mods I have not done any for the purpose of having my car look 100% stock.

Spec,

I've got to disagree.

I've run a 50,75, and 100 shot on my car with all of the added safety features, etc. and now have a Vortech supercharger. IMO nitrous is much harder on the motor because of the huge torque increase that happens all at one time, whereas boost generally comes on gradually.

Is a boosted car always safer, no, but I think for someone under 400 rwhp/tq it is much more enjoyable. (Plus there is no bottle to get filled, and refilled)

Don't get me wrong, I love boosted cars and plan to have mine at that point in the future. I agree with you that nitrous is a shock to the motor. The main reason for my previous statement is that f/i is always, therefor the added wear and tear is always there whereas with nitrous it is only on for the time that you need or want to use it. Of course you cant spray nitrous at any random point in your rpm range, this is where motor damage occurs.
My next quest is to get 400 rwhp and still have my car appear 100% stock lol
