-cut a hole in your stock hood and have it poke out the top

-cut a hole....and fab/have a shop fab a bulge that you like

-find a bulge/scoop that you like and attach/graft it on your stock hood.

actually contemplating that route. that would actually ensure fitment too (closing etc...). and maybe cheaper. how do you do the fitment (of the scoop) before the install is done? or do you install the s/c and then wait to measure, cut and then buy a scoop? and then wait some more? i drive my car daily (hence the stillen s/c), and don't want to be without it that long.

Stillen has a template from their "buldge" kit that you could use. Should be simple to cut the right size hole if you were to use that.

Stillen hood

Maybe some one could convience Stillen or Unlimitted Tunning to make a carbon fiber hood for our car that looks like the ferrari super america? & clear the Stillen S/C:

http://motortrend.com/features/news/...41124_ferrari/

I'd pay $2000 for a hood like that & snap up teh Stillen S/C.

With all the Turbo blown-up motor story, I am scared just thinking about Turbo.

Spoke with Kenny at Stillen, his comments are " nothing in the works for a new hood for at least 6 month". Was willing to give away a scoop for free though.

According to him we need 3" additional in our hood to clear the sc.

Stillen hood

Thanks for the call, men,

Bummer. In the mean time, I kept spending money
on non performance parts. Another 6 month? Might not have money left for Supercharger by then.

Here is my newest useless mod: Custome blackwood steering wheel,
useless but make me feel good thou:

Honestly, I don't know what the fuss about the hood is all about, I have one on an IP coupe, LOVE it, and here's why ....

#1 it gives the coupe a really aggressive look
#2 people know it's you .... of course with the S/C they can here you coming from a mile away
#3 it really does look hot ..... yes, I have run out of ideas .....

Ahhh, a video ....

Oooo, a video ....

pics, ok, here are some pics ....

well, anyways, I'm off ..... and remember this, the less people that get their hoods done keeps my car more unique

VIS Racing was willing to try this, until I gave up and started down the cetrifugal path. they would make one if there is enough interest. they are very approachable. i started some dialogue with them, but my job makes me an unreliable middle man. anyone else willing to pick up the ball?

Just called Stillen & was told the new hood for 05 Sedan will be here in a month or so.

However, It'll still look the same as the 04 hood. New new designs.

that is very disappointing for you '05 guys. that does say a little about their willingness to listen to what the customers want. or lack of...

Just got the 2005 Stillen Catalog in the mail. Same hood for the Coupe but the 350Z gets a couple new hoods, all of which are still so so.
