^^^ I was thinking that too - but then you'd have to contend with vacuum, vapors and such... you'd still have to fabricate quite a bit...

yep, should be fun... but going to get slaughtered unless I modify more, use a different car, or come up with a solid strategy. Mainly doing it for fun.

^^^ I think the experience will be worth it for sure...

No matter what you do about fuel - I'm sure there are gonna be cars that will be impossible to contend with.

Have fun! seems exciting!

^^^ the gig is avg 61mph...

I understand his quandary - and his idea is good (find a creative way to beat the comp)... but the fuel tank thing is not what I'd be focusing on...

It's a very intriguing event - if you haven't read the link he posted, you should... soooooo tempting! I'm hoping to do it one day...

^^^ and that's just the entry fee...

about an hour ago I asked gf what she thought if I was a "rally racer"... her response "you are a racer"... I told her this gig would probably be at least 10K total - she hasn't responded...

I'm gonna do this one day (but not with this car)...

I really like this thread... nice OP!
