oooooookay so heres the whole story. two weeks ago, my check engine light came on. read the code and got p0171, running lean. cleaned the maf, looked for leaks, found nothing and the light was still on. went to a shop and changed my o2 sensors (ripped me off) and that didnt do anything. went to another shop and told me the problem was that too much hot air was getting into my fujita short ram intake and it damaged my maf sensor. sooo i went home reinstalled the plastic part that directs cold air to the intake, ordered a heat shield, and ordered a new maf sensor from rock auto. today, i drive to school and the light was on so i was really hoping that the new maf sensor would come in, but on the drive home guess what? NO LIGHT! but im not sure what i should do now. should i plug in my obd2 reader again and see if everythings fine? should i return the new maf sensor i ordered?? any thoughts??

reset your ECU and drive it around for a few days before you install the new MAF.

If you kick a code, read it to make sure its the MAF, then replace
