Angry Harsh 1st gear shift when cold

I have a '07 G35x sedan, in the morning I would start the car and wait 10 minutes or so and go. I am starting to feel the car jerk when its shifting to 2nd gear I believe but is all fine 15 minutes later when the car is totally warm. Is this normal or is my transmission going to die?

From stop position I press on the gas to go and it jerks and wont happen again unless the car is stopped at a light or something but is all fine after 15 minutes of driving.

How many miles? You may just need a A/T fluid flush. No guarantees though.

I feel like a few other people have had this problem and they bought a new grounding kit (or made their own) and run new grounds from their engine, transmission, alternator and ECU. I guess sometimes the rough shifting was caused by a lack of necessary power and the grounding kit helped the current flow. Not saying it would solve your problem but I made my own grounding kit for $40 with some 1/0 gauge wire and ring terminals and it took only a couple of hours.

My 06 G35x does the same thing. When you didnt warm up the car enough from the cold, 1st to 2nd is really harsh. The whole car jerks forward.

I just let the temp needle start moving up before i put it into drive. Its all fine if i do that.

I let it go to half way which is the highest it goes when the engine is fully warm and it still does it. What to do?

I called up 2 Infiniti dealership in my area and none were familiar with a TCM reflash. What to do now since they don't know what I am talking about? will there be a difference between Canada and U.S. modules?

I doubt it's a TCM issue anyway since it wouldn't only be when it's cold. There may be a problem with the transmission in the G35x? Have you just brought the car back to the dealer and explained the issue to them?

I bought it at a small dealership in the area (not Infiniti) and there's no way I can get a refund or even have them fix it for free. Its basically deal is done so everything is on me.

I don't think its a bad transmission because its totally fine when its warm, if it were bad then it would do it all the time. Has to do something with a temperture sensor or the fluid itself but I just got it changed by Infiniti.

Even at a small dealership, unless it was totaled, you still have factory warranty.
