installed wires, ztube, and pop charger.reset ecu?

I installed some grounding wires, the z tube, and the pop charger. Should I reset my ecu? Does it really matter? Does resetting the ecu help with gas mileage? I just got 90 miles to half a tank..its ridiculous.

90 miles on half a tank!?!?! damn you drive your car hard. i though i drove mine hard, and i get 125 to half a tank, and that redlining pretty much all the time.

some will say to reset and other will say that it doesnt matter. i reset mine cause i have and auto, so it would relearn the shift points. i would say that if you have a MT that part of it is really not necessary.

Re: installed wires, ztube, and pop charger.reset

im in orange county...

200 miles/ tank is 10 mpg. thats impossible!

next time you go to the gas station, divide the miles you have on your trip by the gallons it takes to fill up your car. you will get around 14-16 i guess... im getting 17 avg, depending on how i drive...

write back on your mpg's!...

I get around 215 miles per gas tank. Thats because I drive 1.5 miles to work, 3 miles a day! But during the weekend drives, it helps my mileage jump a little..........

Wow, only 215 miles per tank. My car is 2 months old and I get around 315-330/tank, but my commute to work is a 20 mile highway cruise.

DJM,

you drive manual. Manuals get considerably better mileage.

Re: installed wires, ztube, and pop charger.reset

That's weird. I average 19 - 20 mpg with ~80% hwy driving (avg. speed might be 75mph). I can also go for ~300 miles and don't even see the gas warning light come on. The most I've ever gone was ~340 miles and the light came on. I think I put in almost 18 gallons that day...

Oh yeah, I have the 6MT with 10,079 miles on it and I followed proper break-in.
