Today in the morning when I started my G I heard this sound from the front (engine maybe). The sound came as soon as I started the car and lasted for maybe a 1/2 sec. It sound quite similar to the sound you hear when the ABS charges (at 7mph). Anyone has any input or similar experience?

I though I heard this sound on Monday too but not sure as the engine is quite noisy when you first start it.
Since its not really repeatable I am not sure if it will be helpful to take it to dealer.

I seem to have the same sound. It sounds like a cross between a crackling and a rushing air sound. Anyone has a solution please post. Thanks.

 

Mine does not happen everytime. I have noticed it a couple of times in last 5 days. Is the same true with you that is kind of intermitent.

you sure it's not the fuel pump kicking in? I hear it everytime I put the car into gear...

i have the same problem on my 03 sedan AT too. but i notice, it only happen when the engine/car is cold. the sound only come on for a split second when you start driving for the first 5 seconds or less and then its gone. do you guys have the same problem like mine and does this happen to only sedan or coupe and AT or manual?
