Questions, need help! Kinetix Velocity Manifold - or possibly MREV2
Owners of Kinetix Velocity Manifold & MREV 2 Manifold???
Hey guys I'm thinking about purchasing a Kinetix Velocity Manifold. I was wondering if there are any other parts I may need to purchase along with it for it to work properly or better. Also is there anything I need to worry about in the future with maintaining this product or servicing it. Another question is, is there any special tuning that needs to be done with this manifold once it is installed. I was also looking at an MREV 2 Manifold @ about +15HP, but thought that for roughly $300 more it would be better to go with the Kinetix Velocity Manifold because they are claiming around 30HP. Any help, advice, or suggestions would be appreciated, thanks guys!

bump... for help - been searching the forum but havent found the answers I'm looking for yet. I'm not too concerned in which is "better", but more questions regarding maintance, upkeep, and problems associated with these two manifolds.
Thanks

It depends on what you are planning to do with your ride. If you plan on boosting your car, the mrev2 manifold can handle up to 10 psi and the Kinetix will handle up to 30 psi. kind of a no brainer on that one.
If you do buy either one i would get the hardware kits and replacement gaskets, just to be on the safe side. no servicing is required on either manifold that i know of, or any problems.
I would go with the kinetix manifold better perfomance and better performance potential, looks a lot better than the MREV2 manifold. JMO
I work at a perfomance shop that deals with Nissan, Infinity.

Who told you the MREV2 is only good for 10 PSI. It's a cast lower collector just like the stock one.
I think I'm gonna go with the MREV 2 - I've heard that people have actually lost power with the Kinetix?? but how true is this?? It does "look cool" but is the functionality for $400 more worth it for about 10HP - thoughts on this??
The Kinetix is crap for non forced induction cars, Check out this thread:

Thats the conclusion that I've pretty much come to. I spoke to Tony the other day and he answered a lot of questions I had. Hopefully I'll be able to get the MREV 2 in the next week or so.

I thought it was off myself, but i figured they would know. It could have been some who didnt know what they were doing.

If they told me the wrong info, please let me know
The new velocity manifold from Kinetix is different from the previous versions that were tested. I have yet to see anybody test the new Kinetix version where apparently you should see good gains even for NA. Not supposed to be just a FI thing anymore.
Well it's incorrect. Like I said it's nothing more than a cast lower collector with a different design.
"Hi Alex,
No, that is not correct. It has been used at over 25PSI but the limit is probably much higher.
Thank you,
Tony Colette"
