Revs With A Cold Engine Cause Damage?

I have about 2500 miles on my engine replacement. I started my car this morning to let it warm up, and after about a minute I thought I was gonna hit the brake to put it in drive and by accident hit the gas and reved the engine to about 3k. The temp needle hadn't moved yet before the rev. Outside temp was about 65-75 if it matters. Did I cause any damage to the engine by doing this? Sorry if I sound real paranoid, but being that I already went through a engine replacement I hope I don't have to deal with another one. Thanks in advance.

Damn... you probably took 10k miles off the life of your motor...but at least you didn't kill or hurt someone when you hit the gas instead of the brake.

If the oil pressure is normal than thiers no issue, highly doubtful any damage occured. 3000 RPM on a lightweight 6 cyl engine is nothing.

Go get a new motor right away!! You probably bent a rod and melted a piston!
