Can TT or SC be disable and enable at will?

Greetings:

Prior to install either TT or SC, I wonder if either one TT or SC can be disable prior leaving the car to the dealer for regular maintenance? I don't like the idea that some or all people at the dealer will have fun with my car at my expense.

Thanks.

You can probably ask your tuner for a tune that would limit the power that could be made.

Depends on what EMS you using.

Utec you have multiple maps so you can have like a Valet map that won't pass a certain RPM same thing with Haltech

If you are going boost the last place I would take my car to for regular maint is the stealership. My routine maint goes to the shop that built my car. My .02...

That is your biggest concern when going TT/SC is the dealership driving it when you get an oil change If i ever take my car anywhere to get tires done or an alignment I always specify no test drives unless I am with them. As far as service goes i do my own but if I were worried about the dealership I would take it to the speed shop that did my upgrades.

Osiris can give you 5 maps to choose from. 1 of those maps could have a speed limit of 20mph for example.

With my procharger I just take off the belt before maintenance.. Trust me if you are SC take off your belt because they will drive your car around just for fun. I went to Meineke to get my brakes done and they were asking me why my belt wasn't on and when I put it back on to go back to the shop.

Like GT-ER said, Osiris will give you several maps.

I have a special map for just these purposes which limits speed to 40mph and REV limits at something like 3000RPM.

The only problem is that everytime i drop my car off anywhere (tires, body work, etc...) i always forget to switch the map. Drats!

Thank you all for your comments and inputs.

The shop that install the TT is 250 miles away. So it is not practical to bring the car there every 3500 miles for an oil and filter changes.

Does the Osiris and Novidem will work with GTM TT, escpecially after it has been properly tuned? How easy it is to remap? Can the remap be done with an iPhone 4?
