Dip stick

Anyone else have a hard time reading the dipstick? Ive ran into this with my wifes Maxima too. Every other car Ive owned or worked on, you could easily figure out where the line was, but not on my g35.

I just noticed this the other day. I wanted to check the oil level and couldnt read the dipstick cause the whole thing was smeared with oil. Made a few attempts to wipe it down and pull it out at different speeds and still the same thing.

Are you letting the car sit for 15 or so minutes before you check the oil? If you are checking the oil as soon as you turn off the engine this is your problem. I was doing the same thing and was corrected on here.
