Exclamation Choppy Idle

What's up everyone. Have a quick question. I had my car parked outside for around 9-10 hours while at work. It's rather cold outside, around 21 degrees, with a cold wind chill. I went to start the car up, the motor hesitated for a few seconds, and felt like the car had a weak battery. Once it started (around 3-4 seconds) the car had a very rough/choppy idle. The rough idle lasted a few minutes. There was also a rotten egg smell around the car. I noticed the car vibrating while the car was running, probably because of the motor. However, once I drove the car around the parking lot a few times, the motor ran fine. Started up just fine, and ran like normal. Anyone know what could have caused the initial rough/choppy idle? Thanks for the help. Would also like to add the car never threw a CEL light.

Maybe just the temp conditions? did this happen on more than one occasion? Sometimes the oil needs time to warm up and thin before you drive which can cause choppiness

This is the first time I've had this happen. I'm running Castrol Syntec 5W-30 oil. Never had an issue before. Maybe bad batch of gas?

Update in case anyone wanted to know. Car had a misfire in cylinder #1. Turns out the HKS Ignition Amplifer I had on caused the problem.

I had the same thing happen to me about a month ago. I had the car up on the jack stands on an inclined driveway working on the front brakes. After I lowered the car the idle was really choppy so I turned the engine off. Then It wouldn't start. So I jumped it and forced it. It ran choppy, stunk and now runs perfect like nothing ever happened. I don't have the HKS Ignition Amplifier so I have no idea why it happend to me. Huh?
