Occasional stall at start?

Hi Everyone,

When I first start my car, the RPMs fluctuate between 500-1000 or so (like normal). BUT every now and then when it drops in the first fluctuation to near the 500 mark, sometimes it sputters a little, the needle hangs there, and then the engine stalls. I then restart it, which it then does just fine. I thought this could be my fuel filter, but after further investigation into the workings of our "service-less" fuel filter, I guess it could be something else. I don't have any engine mods that would do this (that I know of). . .just a Z-tube and PC, which has been on for like 10k miles with no problems. I guess I'll try to reset my ECU. . .but in the meantime, has anyone else run into this? Thanks y'all!

Try restarting ecu and if that doesn't work... take off your z-tube. put in the stock one and go to Infiniti for warranty =D... that's what i did.. I took it off so they wouldn't give me any [censored] like " you have aftermarket products.. we don't cover that bla bla bla"... thats IMO

Keep the Z-Tube on! The 350Z has it and they do not have any problems with stalling. I suggest that you remove the JWT P/C and reinstall the stock airbox. My bet is your problem will magically disappear.

John Kerry promises a $1000 middle class tax cut AFTER the Bush tax cut expires.
The Bush tax cut is ~$3500 per middle class family.

neffster !!
why do you feel it necessary to subject the readers of the forum to your politics
This is a forum for G35 Drivers, opinions other than G related should be kept to yourself

irony, I find it ironic that you would have a problem with someone who is not violating any of the board rules. You have mail.

Check to make sure your MAF isnt covered in pop charger oil. If it is... well, make sure its OFF before you go to Infiniti. I was at the dealership 3 days ago. They dont give me problems anymore it seems, they just all wanna see the engine. lol, cuz they cant pop the hood on one of the 4000 on the lot right now.
