Thottle Body Cleaning
#16
I have a 2004 G35 Sedan Automatic.
Yea tell me about it. My extended warranty just expired so i feel like they are hitting me extra hard. Yea i wasnt planning on doing any work myself, but having a good mechanic do the water pump and throttle body cleaning. Although i am still nervous about the throttle body.
I actually just called the dealer today to complain because they also stated my suspension compression rod bushings are cracked. Which i know is common problem on the G. but when i complained about it two oil changes ago and opted for the 90,000 mile service to make sure the car was in tiptop shape right before my extened warranty expired, they didnt find the problem. But go in for a routin oil change and what do you know, the bushings are cracked. Seemed really shady to me.
Anyone know if the Bushings are hard to replace?

they wont be trying to hit you harder because your extended expired. if its an aftermarket one, they usually will quote high because most warranty companys will screw techs on times.
Just because the comp rod bushings are cracked, doesnt always mean they make noise, conversely some comp rods squeak like crazy but look fine.
the biggest pita about it is getting the comp bushing off of the stud. they corrode on and have to be torched off. are you awd or rwd?
