I have a 2004 Infitini G35 Coupe, and have been experiencing a slightly bothersome noise coming from the engine bay. I do know that it sounds like something externally clattering when the motor is under load. I generally hear it when the engine is between 1000-1500 rpm's then it gets droned out by the motor, but when next to other cars or buildings the echo of the rattle seems pretty loud. Normally it wouldn't be bothering me, but I have been working hard on keeping my car is near perfect condition and would like to see if anybody had this rattle and knew what it was so I could tighten it or replace whatever was making it. (:12-:14, :18, :23, :26, :29, :32, :35) are some spots in the audio if you are having a hard time hearing it.

 

It sounds like something is vibrating.

Some questions:

Did you drive over anything?
1) Anything recent that could've cause this?
2) How loud is it if you open your door and listen? Is it clearly audible?
3) Is it in front of or behind the front wheel?
4) Do you hear it with the hood up while standing over the engine (someone else is revving it)?
5) Does it only happen at idle?
