i am getting a injen cai soon and i heard that the sound way louder than stock (good thing), is this true? and also will it start whistling lower in the rpms than stock?

Yes it will sound a lot deeper, meaner and the whistling between 3k-4k RPM's is sick, and then if you keep your foot steady ont he pedal past that not WOT you hear all of the AIR being sucked in, people think i have a turbo in my car when i sit int he rpm band!! LOL

you might want to get an k & n filter later on down the road.
The filter that injen provides is a mushroom looking one.
I would have to remove the drivers side bumber in order to clean the filter. I got a slimmer K and N filter that allowed me to remover the last part of the intake along with the filter and not have to remove my bumber.
I forgot what the model # is for the k and n filter. Do a search and you will find it.

 

Damm its been a year and i still havent cleaned the filter, i totally forgot!! Im just going to buy another one and change it soon, or maybe i'll wait until after the winter, we'll see.. Here's a few pics of my polished one!

wo, where did u get that engine cover? i have never seen that before. the injen looks nice. i certainly makes the engine compartmant look alot more spacious.

The sedan engine covers are different than the coup's.
You guys have the painted ones, we get the plain Janes.

Cato that Unlimited Tuning's carbon fiber engine cover!! Cato that isnt a astock sedan engine cover, its CF =) But once i get my plenum on its coming off for maximum "performance" or cooling, we'll see =)

Does anybody know if the Injen CAI was ever CARB certified officially? Because i know it has been pending...

 

I have no clue, i assumed it was?!?! And yes the CF Engine cover fits the coupe, it was on Mike at Unlimited Tuning's coupe first to show it off... www.unlimitedtuning.com

I dont think it has, but what you can do it go and buy a K & N filter that comes with that badge or sticker and then place it on your car.

Thats what i did and seems to be the charm around the
Po Po's.
