engine noise ? light high pitched rattling from serpentine belt system ????
my wifes 04.5 G35X has about 70K miles on it and at idle the engine is just not nice and quiet and new sounding anymore. Seems like something in the belt system is rattling. About to change the belts and see if that helps. Anyone else expierence this or know what the cause is ?

Might be one of your pulleys is going bad. The belts won't rattle, they will squeak when there is a problem with them.

Mines is doing the same. I think my belts are overdue on changing them out. We'll see if that takes care of it.

mine does it. turn the AC off then listen. I think its the AC compressor
