Oil Change: Infiniti or Nissan Dealer?

I apologize if this is a repost. Please offer the thread link if it is. My 2004 G35x is due for its first oil change. I'd like to take it to the Infiniti dealership where I bought the car, but that is a two hour drive. So I'm wondering if I took the car to a Nissan dealership if I'd get the same quality parts and service. Any thoughts? Should I take the two hour road trip or save the gas and have the oil change done locally?

Thanks for your advise!

neither, do it yourself to make sure you get it done correctly. But if not, nissan will use the same filter you would get at the infiniti dealership.

I don't think it matters where you get the "oil change".
Infiniti would probably do some other checks on your
car. Like tranny fluid check, brake check etc...
Just have proof it was done on schedule for warranty
purposes.

I took mine to the local Nissan dealership. They said they can do all the required service work but no warranty work.

You can take it to any Infiniti dealer for service, not just the one you purchased it at. All Infiniti dealers will perform warranty service regardless of where the car was purchased.

You could also find an independent shop that specializes in Nissans or Japanese cars. In my area, there is a place called Made in Japan that I've heard does good work. I would hope they are cheaper than the dealer too.
