plenum spacer trouble
The instructions say to tighten ALL bolts to 40in-lbs, then 80in-lbs and then just the outside bolts to 100-lbs.
Is the suggestion/fix to tighten the outside bolts to 40/80/100 first, then tighten the 6 inside bolts to 40/80-in-lbs?

OK, I did not read through the whole thread when I made my initial post.
In six years on the forum, this is the first I have heard of this fix for a problem plenum install. Many many other threads point out issues with the filler cap gasket, problems with reusing plenum gaskets on used spacer installs, etc., etc. The fact this thread died in 2012 speaks to me.
I had no issues with my used plenum install by carefully following the instructions and with awareness gleaned from threads responding to problems. There have been a mess of a million of these spacers installed/removed/reused/reinstalled over the years. This "warping" concept seems to be mighty rare. If I were having problems after an install, I'd run through all the other fixes before trying this one.
But if I were going to try this, I'd do it in this fashion: 40 outside then 40 inside; 80 outside then 80 inside; finish with 100 outside. Cross patterning of course.
My guess is that the "warping" issue arises from cranking down the inside bolts in one pass, possibly exacerbated by not cross patterning, further jinxed by not using a torque wrench.
YMMV.

cleric is correct. The spacer will fit fine without the MREV2 but will have no effect on performance so money is wasted. Pair them up together and you'll see some gains but I'm not sure they'd be worth the money. You'll probably spend close to or around $500 for both and MIGHT see 10HP.
