Ok so I was wondering if there's any possible way to increase 91 octane to 93. I kno there's boosters frm like autozone but heard they don't do much so I was wondering maybe if I buy like 4 bottles of the best octane booster maybe that would be the route to go if it is safe. Thanks

 

Id stay away from any and all octane boosters if I were you, if you really want higher octane try looking for a gas station in your area that sells 100 or 94 octane gas. I believe some raceways have it. It is also like 11.00 a gallon lol. Most people only use it when they go to the track

 

Yea well we got no gas stations sellin that but I heard the lucas boosters are the best bang for ur buck

Unless your engine have big mods or turbo, you won't get anything out off octane booster...

Higher octane fuel will not give more power to engines.. It just prevent detonation. And more detonation occurs when you're heavily modded or FI.

 

My g is heavily modiefied only thing lackin is the turbo or supercharger so id be ok right.

 

What octane booster do u recommend

Use the NOS octane booster in the blue bottles found at convince stores usually they keep it in the coolers to the octane wont deplete when it gets warm sitting on the shelf.

Reading through your posts I call

 

Hks exhaust, headers, straight pipes. UR pulleys, kinetix SSV mani, ztube with K&N filter. Cobb tuned. That's everything I've gotten which really all the bolts on u can put on a G. So if u call that BS haha ur BS comment can be deleted lmao Blue Dream

 

you dont even have a plenum spacer and you think thats all the bolt on you can put on a G? Lmao You kidding rightt? there are alot more bolt on FYI

 

That's not even close to be heavily modified... All those bolts on won't make your engine require higher octane fuel... Only spark timing advance or FI!

 

Can't use a spacer with the SSV manifold.

jon, headers not worth the money, SSV not the best choice for anything other than looks unless you're FI, Cobb tuned (you know they quit supporting the VQ right) and straight pipes, really? You might have some mods but not good choices IMHO.

 

So then explain what is heavily modified other than FI. I'm thinking injectors or internal work I'm. Confused
