If your power goal is to stay at ~350whp, the much more economical way of doing it is FI (sc or turbo). Get your budget sorted out first then times that by at 1.5x and that will be closer to what you'd spend at the end.
What did your end up costing you? I never saw an end dyno from what you were doing either. Did you have a build thread with more of the details?

Keeping up with Vipers/SC Stangs, Vettes/Ferrari/Lambo so on and so forth.

All Im saying is when the day comes around for me, when I do a FI build, Id be aiming for the sky.

But I also understand making these low hp DD's. Still, I think they should have two sets of tune.. a DD tune and an All out tune...

Again. My two lincolns.
The lower HP #'s (~400 whp) are because that is what is considered safe for the stock block. People who want more power than that generally do build and go for the sky. 400 whp is a very big improvement over stock power and nothing to complain about.

After two years we are still working on it, it's in the shop now as we speak getting some changes done. Engine alone, the total cost was well in excess of 20k. I have a fairly detailed thread over at my350z in the NA section.

Honestly. I found a bunch of VK56DE's for 1500-2500. I am very tempted to just drop one in. sure I'm not getting numbers but oh man I am getting sound! lol.

I am searching for info but I think I will start a thread dedicate for it. I may even go as far as purchasing a VK tomorrow. and then letting the rest unfold!

There are only two cars that I can think of that did this swap. Drift Emporium's supercharged VK56 in a G35C and GTM's half completed stroked VK56 project.

You prolly have better luck doing a LS swap in this case. Engine is about the same price and there are kits for this swaps already. On top of that the aftermarket engine upgrades are much more abundant.

Oh man... you guys are making me think hard. I'm shooting for 450whp. Can it be done for around $20k? I was wanting to keep NA to the extent possible then SC a bit to get there. Do you need a built long/short block for 450whp? I'm guessing yes. So tempted to just swap a 2JZ.

OP I gave it some thought and I am going to do a similar build to your original post. My car has 190,000KM and I pretty much plan on keeping it forever.

Here is my mod list:
AMS VQ35 Basic Engine Rebuild Kit #3
AMS Aluminum Race Pulley Kit
Kinetix High-Flow Cats
JWT C2 Cam Shafts
Kinetix Velocity Intake Manifold
Takeda Short-Ram Intake
Exotic Speed RII Titan Exhaust
Z1 SS Headers
Z1 External Auto Transmission Cooler
TransGo Valve Body Upgrade or Z1 Valve Body Upgrade

It's a lot of money but oh well the hell with it.

Maybe an aftermarket radiator but I'm unsure of it's benefits.

for NA builds you guys might consider looking on my350Z and reading some stuff in the NA Build section. Lots more info on the subject - although some of the guys over there will flame you for not doing what they think is best.
