Will a 350Z engine bolt directly into a G35 Coupe

Can anyone tell me if a 350Z engine is a direct swap with a G35 Coupe.
Thanks,
AlanL

I don't know that anyone has tried it, but it should be. It's the same engine in the same configuration.

I think you'd need the ECU/TCU along with the engine tho.

I think you would be better off with the G35 ECU and TCU. They should have the exact same BCM/ECU/TCU but with differnet programming on each. This is just a guess, and I may be wrong, but the cars are so similar I would imagine the engines should just swap right in.

I don't see why it wouldn't considering it's the same exact engine but with different tuning.

One important thing to keep in mind is that Nissan discontinued the RB series of motors because it was only used in the Skyline. This wasn't cost effective and so they switched to using the VQ in almost everything. In order to keep the VQ cost effective they will have to keep it as similar as possible from car to car. So, my guess would be different software tuning on the ECU and differnt air intake systems. The block, engine internals, trannys, and other important, expensive things would remain the same. The intake would be easy to modify because they are all plastic!
